Partners
The Network now partners with 145 organizations, including 41 universities, 36 companies, seven government departments and agencies, 43 health charities/not-for-profit organizations, and 18 international stem cell organizations.
Through collaboration and partnerships, SCN has been a catalyst for advances in all its program areas. SCN projects are multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional, and they address critical research questions on a scale that could not be achieved through traditional funding sources.
The Network and its industry, academia and government partners increase the impact of their resources by:
- Jointly investing in collaborative research and training projects to leverage SCN and partner funding by ensuring a critical mass of expertise and resources
- Collaborating to accelerate projects with commercial and therapeutic potential
- Facilitating networking between SCN principal investigators and industry and other potential partners through the Network's AGM, workshops, advisory committees and meetings
- Collaborating on education and public awareness projects to encourage public discussion of the potential of stem cell research in the context of a realistic understanding of where we are today
