For Trainees

SCN is committed to supporting trainees as they build their careers by providing awards, training and networking opportunities.
Working with SCN, these future leaders in stem cell research experience firsthand a multidisciplinary research environment that promotes collaboration and networking and that considers the economic, social and ethical implications of their work.
The SCN Training Program’s mandate is to build a critical mass of highly qualified stem cell researchers in Canada. The Research Management Committee, with help from the Training & Education Committee and the Trainee Communications Committee, has developed an extensive training program that includes funding for studentships, fellowships, research grants, workshops, and much more.
